To Activate...Locate the floating metal button. Find the metal button side. Hold down center "nub" for one or two seconds. Release. If reaction does not occur within 2-5 seconds..try again. Sometimes the first activation takes a few attempts. The energy released from the button begins a reaction with the sodium acetate inside. Watch as it looks like the pack is freezing right in front of you. Squeeze pack back and forth until soft. Heat begins instantly.
To Deactivate... Boil a pot of water. DROP PACK IN BOILING WATER AND REDUCE TO LOW SIMMER!! Crystals will liquify after 6-15 minutes depending on size of unit. Larger units take longer. Simmer until gel is completely clear. Leaving crystals floating will cause unit to reactivate itself during cooling. When gell is clear, set pack to cool to room temperature and reactivate.
